Cindy Embrey spent her career as an accountant for 17 years. Growing up in Santa Monica, she has been always so fond of adorable, cute and very funny cats and dogs. She enjoys walking along the sidewalks and beaches where lots of people hover around with their favorite pets running around. It’s always so fun to just watch their behaviors, especially when they meet other dogs and start investigating. It has always been a dream to establish her own pet shop, that would be just heavenly place to spend all day, spending time with the adorable pets and also meeting new ones all day long.
Dream shop opens in Dallas
When Cindy moved to Dallas, she found very similar bustling pet friendly Corner Market in McCommas Boulevard, and saw a sparkling idea popping into her mind. Then when the nearby Niru’s Boutique space became available, she just jumped on the opportunity. It’s a great location since pets and their owners are always hanging around there, and the space is just the right size to put up a cute little boutique specialized for dogs and cats. Before long, Avenue Barket has opened for business.
Dogs love to invite themselves in
As the dogs stroll down the street, they just can’t help but notice this appealing hang out place. It must be the scent of organic edible treats, so enticing that the dog’s noses just instinctively draws them right into the store. And of course they get free treats as they get acquainted inside with Cindy and her associate Susan Webb. A dedicated life time cat lover, Susan has created an amazing display of variety of cat toys, cat food, cat treats, cat trees, and cat houses. There’s also photo opportunity for dogs and cats to commemorate the visit. It’s such a fun place to hang around that Cindy’s two Chihuahuas Pippen and Ginger beg her to bring them to the store.
